Find emotional support and information through
networking with other parents and professionals,
direct phone contact, emails, meetings, referrals,
recommendations, events and activities. VAAPVI is
here to help you find the support that you need.

Advocacy
We help
advocate for the educational needs and welfare of children
who are blind or visually impaired.

Support meetings
Join
us for monthly meetings (see events page for upcoming
meetings) Let us know if you will be brining your children
so we can coordinate appropriate child care.

Activities/Events:
Come
out for our activities and events just to relax and enjoy
each other!

Workshops: Various workshops will be provided throughout the year and
will be posted on our events page. Please let us know if
there is a specific topic, skill or need that you would like
to see addressed.

Locate resources
Just
as each child is unique, there is no one size fits all
service or program. You can navigate through our state and
national resource lists or call us for assistance in
locating what you need.

Resource
Center:
We have sensory
based toys, tactile and Braille books as well as educational
books for parents to use and check out. As our office grows we will
be adding equipment as well.
